SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Identify the 26 letters of the Latin alphabet used in writing in Portuguese.
Name the 26 letters of the alphabet.
Identify the 26 letters in different shapes (upper/lower case) and types.
Establish grapheme-phoneme relationships.
Establish grapheme-phoneme relationships in contexts of ditongation, hiatus and in consonantic groups.
Identify diacritics and their function.
Identify punctuation signals and auxiliary writing signals and their function.
Write the different letters in upper and lower case.
Write diacritics, punctuation signs, and auxiliary writing signs.

01. UFCD – 6452 – 25h
In order to obtain the qualification of level A1, this UFCD is mandatory complemented with UFCD 6453 and 6454, constituting precedence for either.

SPECIFIC OBJETIVES
Recognises the name of food and drink and recognises vocabulary relating to dishes;
Interprets and shares eating habits and behaviors at the table and formulas that are used at mealtime;
Recognises the names of establishments and sections of food sales;
Read and interpret a menu, place an order in a café and restaurant;
Buys food products, and knows units of measure related to food and beverages;
It relates favorite free time activities of the Portuguese at different times of the year with
those of the country of origin and talks about free time activities related to sports, shows, television, music, etc.
Recognises aspects related to cinema, ticket purchases, session schedules;
Is able to compare important festive occasions in Portugal – Christmas, Easter, Carnival – with those of its country;
Decodes and uses formulas and phrases used on special occasions, weather and tastes and preferences.
02. UFCD – 6453 – 25h
This UFCD enforces the precedence of UFCD 6452 and precedes UFCD 6454 for a qualification of Level A1.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Recognises the name of food and drink and recognises vocabulary relating to dishes;

Reads and interprest a menu, places an order in a café and at a restaurant;
Buys food products, and knows units of measure related to food and beverages;
It relates favorite free time activities of the Portuguese at different times of the year with those of the country of origin and talks about free time activities related to sports, shows, television, music, etc.

03. UFCD – 6454 – 25h
This UFCD imposes the precedence of UFCD 6452 and 6453 to obtain the A1 level qualification.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Recognizes the names of commercial stores and establishments, shops in the stationery shop and clothing store;
Speaks on the phone, decodes advertising messages, receives and gives instructions and prepares warnings;
Follows and indicates directions, expresses taste and preference, formulates invitations and accepts and refuses invitations;
It recognizes the vocabulary relating to the human body and asks and gives references on physical atributes;
Physically describes people, expresses symptoms of some diseases and distinguishes medical specialties;
Reveals knowledge about basic health care;
It asks for clarification on words or expressions that have not been understood;
It gives personal and professional information, highlighting the most positive aspects.
FORMAT AND EVALUATION
EVALUATION BASED ON:
Multiple choice items, matching, true/false items are used;
Continuous evaluation, observing results and behaviors in tasks, measurement tests, attendance and participation;
Final rating rating:
The Rating of Very Good is awarded to candidates who obtain between 85% and 100%.
The Good rating is awarded to candidates who obtain between 70% and 84%.
The sufficient rating is awarded to candidates who obtain between 55% and 69%.
The maximum absence allowed is 10% of the total number of hours (5 h synchronous or 1,5h asynchronous)
